Demers Exposition Services is the approved decorator for the 2020 “TerrifiCon: CT’s Terrific Comic Con” event taking place August 14-16 at Mohegan Sun.  We will be providing move-in assistance to vendors in accordance with the information below.  Reading and understanding this information will save time and avoid confusion during your move-in.   Your move in hours are will be posted in late July  --  Our FLOOR MANAGERS will be there to answer any questions you have.

FAQs - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

  • EXHIBITOR WRISTBANDS will be given to you at on-site Load-In.
  • ADDITIONAL STAFF ONLY WRISTBANDS may be purchased for $50.00 each. Maximum 2 additional per booth.
  • SIGNAGE: 10 x 10 booths and Exhibitor Tables come with a 7”x44” exhibitor ID sign  (not to exceed thirty-six characters). Note Artists Alley & Cosplay Tables do not have signage.
  • YOU MAY BRING AS MANY EXTRA TABLES, SHELVING, CHAIRS AS YOU LIKE AS LONG AS IT FITS IN YOUR SPACE. –You cannot take tables/chairs from other booths. See DEMERS Expo Manager if you need more. If you are discovered taking others tables/chairs you will be billed by Demer's for the replacements. 
  • ELECTRICAL Orders must be placed with DEMER”S A/V prior to the show date and make the appropriate arrangements. See PDF Electricity Order Form. 
  • PAYMENT TERMS: 100% with application. NO REFUNDS!  $50 PENALTY charged on returned checks!
  • Exhibitor spaces WILL sell out well in advance of the show.
  • Please don't delay, or you risk being shut out. Payment MUST accompany application/contract. Also note that assignment of exhibitor spaces will be at the discretion of Con management. Requests for specific locations will not be accepted.

    • IF YOU WANT A WALL SPACE - let us know - there are a limited number of them available.
    • WIFI IS FREE -- Mohegan Sun provides free WiFi. Login information will be posted. If you need an electrical hookup, you MUST contract directly with the convention center. Use Order form link listed above.

     YOU WILL RECEIVE A LETTER FROM DEMERS EXPO WITH LOAD IN INSTRUCTIONS APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE SHOW. 

    COME TO THE DEMERS EXPO INFORMATION TABLE TO CHECK -IN (ITS LOCATED IN EXPO CENTER NEAR REAR GARAGE DOORS.

    CONNECTICUT SALES TAX INFORMATION:

    • Connecticut State Sales Tax information: Vendors at Flea Markets, Craft Shows, Fairs, Etc., Must Obtain a Connecticut Sales Tax Permit

    You must obtain a Sales and Use Tax Permit from the Connecticut Department of Revenue Service if you will be selling at a flea market, craft show, trade show, antique show, fair, etc. in Connecticut even if you will only be making sales for one day. You must display the permit prominently in your booth or table. You must obtain a Sales and Use Tax Permit before making any sales. The requirement to obtain a permit applies to individuals, corporations, partnerships, and all other business entities that will make sales in this state, regardless of the number of sales that will be made or the amount of tax that will be collected. As a seller, you are responsible to collect sales and use taxes and you are liable for their payment whether or not you collect them as required from your customers. You must file returns and pay the full amount of tax due DRS.

    Note: Failure to obtain a tax permit will result in a fine of not more than $500 or imprisonment of not more than three months, or both, for each offense. You need to file for a business tax permit with the CT Department of Revenue Service, and you must pay taxes to the state on all of your sales within the State of Connecticut, excluding non-taxable items. The license generally costs $100 and lasts for 5 years (That's $20 per year for being able to do business within CT.) You can find the information/forms you need on their website:

    Welcome to the 6th annual TERRIFIC Comic Con at Mohegan Sun (the 9th one we produced and organized - but who's counting), we are excited that you want to be part of the action this August 14-16, 2020! Our 25,000 unique attendees are eager to shop for cool stuff - from comics to toys, clothes to statues, artwork to gaming supplies - the cooler the better! 

          Loading areas are ground level, no ramps, elevators - quick and easy. Though we provide you with booth furniture (table, chairs) you can bring as much additional shelving, tables and displays you want that can fit in your space.


          We have heard nothing but praise from previous con exhibitors that the all new Expo Center is well.. FIRST CLASS all the way! The venue is beautifully decorated, air-conditioned, well-lit, secure and have the most friendly, well organized staff you'll ever work with.
